****That Time Of Week! Nutrisystem Weigh In!****

So today is the day I do my Nutrisystem weigh in each week.  I was a a little disappointed this morning when I stepped on the scale and only lost 1 pound.  I did not let it bother me for long because after thinking about it for awhile... I am stronger, I am building muscle, because last week I really had to kick up the pounds & distance on the machines at the gym to achieve the same level of work out.

What I have noticed is my clothes are now looser. I can see the seat in the car between my thighs LOL! ;) The seat belt fits better in the car too. I can get back into a pair of jeans that I "out grew". I also noticed on my bra that the hooks are now in the middle instead of the end hook. I feel healthier, stronger and more confident! When all is said and done I lost 20 pounds in just 4 weeks!! That is pretty amazing! Just imagine carrying 2 Ten pound bags of potatoes with you every day.. all day long no matter what you do. I feel good!

I know I have a long way to go but I am not giving up either ....because quitters NEVER win, and when you give up the only person you are cheating is yourself! Nobody but you has to carry the extra weight around, can't fit the clothing that you once loved... who looks at the skinny girl/guy and says "why can't that be me?".  The truth is that it can be you, if you just try. Take baby steps, I did when I first started and then just keep telling yourself 'I can do 2 more minutes, I can do 5 more minutes' before you know it you will have done 30, 45, 60 minutes of the exercise activity.

Nutrisystem  is teaching me better habits, but they can only show you right and wrong. It is up to you to make a change and the first place that change happens is not at the gym, it is in your head.  Just like every day we make the choice to get up, get dressed, brush our teeth.... it is a change like that; but it will be in your mind. You will know that every day you have choice. I got this way making excuses and poor choices. I am now correcting the bad habits. Just remember the road is not always easy, a new habit takes 30 days to learn. My very first step was joining the Nutrisystem Family to help me change my eating habits and give me the support I needed to get started. My second step was making my mind up that I did not like me the way (as far as my weight) I was and wanted a healthier thinner me. My third step was to add activities back in my life. My fourth step is not quitting!

So after I weighed in today and saw I was only down a pound; I got dressed for the gym and headed out the door. I set my mind to the fact that I may be at a plateau. So when I got to the gym I had one thing in mind.. Kick it up a notch! I did, and by the time I stepped off the first machine I was covered in sweat, my tee shirt was soaking wet and my hair was matted to my head. I looked like I had been out in the sun for hours, but I did not quit and I jumped on the next machine. That is the key ... just don't give up! It is hard but keep going. Nutrisystem has counselors that you can call and discuss your meals, or weigh goals .... they are even there to give you extra support when you just feel like you just can't do it, they have your back! When you join Nutrisystem you don't just join a weigh loss program... You join a family, and a huge support system!

My next goal is to start a program Couch to 5K, before Nutrisystem I would not even have thought about attempting it, but now I think I can :)  So come back next Tuesday and I will share my weight loss with you and let you know what I have been up to this week.

  1. I'm doing the couch to 5K I should be starting on week 4 this week but I've been sick this entire week so I'm thinking i'm going to have to stay back a week or so to get back in to things. I love it now that I've started it though and I never ever thought I would say I love running. Good Luck!
